The Bird Dog Recreational Complex is a community hub, recreational center and performance space at the heart of Waynesboro’s plan to elevate distressed areas within the city. AMT assisted in developing the funding application with a Preliminary Architectural Report for the facility and worked with the grant writer of the City to qualify for the 2023 Improving Neighborhood Outcomes in Disproportionately Impacted Communities Grant. AMT was chosen to design the recreational/community facility which includes a community center, offices, classrooms, gymnasium, outdoor performance venue, playground and splash pad.
