Civil Engineer I

This position will be performing with the engineering team in water, sewer, utility and/or site design.

Must have EIT or have passed the FE Exam and prefer 1 year experience in engineering work/internships but we will train the right person.

Job duties will include:

      • Design with AutoCAD Civil 3D civil sites, linear designs, etc.
      • Construction Management/Administration
      • Construction Oversight & Site Inspections on the field 
      • Perform Hydraulic computer modeling
      • Modeling with Auto Turn- 2D and 3D
      • Storm water drainage analysis and design
      • Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects
      • Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations
      • Work with municipalities, industrial and commercial clients
      • Develop hydrology reports
      • Perform feasibility assessments

Civil Engineering Interns

This position will be performing work in our water, sewer, utility and site design departments.

You will learn to:

      • Design with AutoCAD Civil 3D
      • Perform Hydraulic computer modeling
      • Modeling with Auto Turn- 2D and 3D
      • Site Design
      • Construction Oversight and Inspection
      • Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects
      • Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations
      • Perform feasibility assessments and site inspections
      • Review government regulations and ordinances

Some experience with AutoCad is required. Students will be working with the water, sewer and utility design team and others with the site design team.

Since we are a small company (30 employees), you will be exposed to many engineering tasks and not to the same thing over and over again. You will be attending meetings, conducting site visits (eventually by yourself), designing infrastructure systems for surrounding counties, etc.

You can have a flexible work schedule with at least 12 hours a week. Your start and end dates are also flexible. Must be at least a Junior or 3rd year and graduate within the next 1-2 years. AutoCad class must have been taken already or you must know the basics and previous attendance in the Civil3D class would be preferred.
