AMT provided civil site design work for the Federal Express (Fed Ex) Distribution Center located in Athens, GA on a 21.3 tract. This facility encompasses 12 acres of developed property including an acre core area of building and associated parking. The site involved the development of a storm facility capable of holding 10 acre feet of water and the detention pond included an innovative micro-pool for water quality. Because the site does not have a gravity flow sanitary sewer service, AMT designed a lift station and force main utility that pumps wastewater to an existing sewer main. The site design.
