The Town Hall was designed and built to house the offices of the Mayor and Utilities Departments as well as serve as the public meeting room for the Mayor & Commission hearings. This 3,000 sq. ft. brick building consisted of a lobby, reception, meeting room, catering kitchen, office space, two vaults, secondary support facilities and space for a future expansion.
The 12,000 sq. ft. Fire Station not only provided the town with a functional facility to house the firefighting equipment which met the required standards of the fire department, but also provided a facility the community could use as well. The building was designed as a 24/7 staffed facility and included 2 equipment bays, an office, a bunkroom, a day room, a training room, a laundry, bath rooms, and storage areas. A storage area was also added in the attic space that could be expanded into office areas for future use.
The estimated cost of these projects was $2,250,000 and were constructed in whole or in part using Georgia Department of Corrections inmate labor.
