Athens-Clarke County Police Department Headquarters Renovation
AMT was selected to provide a complete interior renovation for the ACC 20-year old police department headquarters facility, to consolidate departments within the building and to update furniture and finishes. All HVAC, electrical, data, and security systems were updated or replaced. A new fire suppression system was installed as well. The building comprised approximately 26,750 sq. ft. and totaled $2.1 million in renovation costs (not including furniture and security). The facility remained operational 24/7 during the renovation work and was phased to allow most of the staff to operate from this facility. In addition to the interior work, the roof was replaced and building envelope issues addressed to eliminate water leaks within the walls. The building obtained LEED certification.
