Working with the City of Waynesboro, Armentrout Matheny Thurmond, P.C. contributed to a piece of history with the completion of the Public Works building project. The City was revitalized with the historic rehabilitation project which included the rehabilitation of the art deco 2,835 sq. ft. freezer building and a new vehicle maintenance facility. This project involved converting previous freezer rooms into public works offices with a conference room. The existing building extension was retained with cosmetic repairs to brick and glass elements. An existing rear machinery room was converted to a corridor leading to the new 14,200 sq. ft. public works vehicle maintenance facility. A section of the machinery room was demolished but the original brick was used in repairs of the existing building. The project revitalized an older building providing needed space for a growing department in Waynesboro, Georgia
