Athens-Clarke County Department of Public Utilities Customer Service Center
This $2.2 million dollar renovation was recently completed to modify the former Athens First Bank headquarters to the Public Utilities Department Customer Service Center. The project required a coordinated phase set of documents that enabled the contractor to accurately bid and assist him in accomplishing the tasks of removing and protecting existing items to remain in the project, removing the asbestos in the building, demolishing the existing interior walls, and successfully renovating the project with the new layout. AMTpc also evaluated LEED criteria in order to determine that the building qualified for LEED certification and the project is on track to receive LEED Silver status.
